Job Description
Primary Duties
- Responsible for managing installation and maintenance of the SolidSolver, SandSolver, and WasteSolver product line of Sustainable Solutions.
- Responsible for assisting in the selection of suppliers and sub-contractors and day to day management of field operations, including management of sub-contractors and equipment suppliers required to supply, fabricate and install the SolidSolver, SandSolver, and Wastesolver at customer farms.
- Responsible for managing all product installations which includes the following duties:
- Performs pre-installation visit to each potential sales location and specifies the suite of equipment required to meet the customer’s performance expectations in compliance with SS requirements.
- Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Reviews deliverables prepared by sub-contractors before releasing to customer.
- Identifies resources needed and manages personnel and partners to achieve timing and quality targets.
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and its scope.
- Manages project cost and time budgets to ensure compliance with customer and company expectations.
- Prepares the post-installation check list and ensures the customer representative is adequately trained on the equipment to maintain minimum operational and maintenance standards.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current and appropriately stored.
- Assists in the direction of technical sub-contractors in the ongoing engineering, process development and improvement (cost and quality) of the company’s suite of manure management equipment.
- Responsible for managing the company’s customer maintenance and warranty of sub-contractors.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Prefer BS Degree in mechanical engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in project management of industrial fabrication and installation of process equipment for material handling in the agr-cultural, mining, or oil exploration/development industries.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet quality and time expectations.
- Self starter with with excellent people management skills and proven track record of success in team environments.
- Highly organized, computer savvy, with excellent follow-up and documentation skills.
- Highly preferred home base in California with availability to travel in remainder of US as required to support future expansion efforts.
- Strong Computer Skills, excellent and timely email inbound and outbound communication, MS Suite and web savvy.
Technical capabilities
- Strong experience with pumps, electrical and plumbing.
- In addition, the following skills/ experience would be highly relevant.
- Site planning and installation.
- Experience with dairy farms and manure management systems.
Environmental & Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear clearly.
- Ability to be mobile and travel as needed.
- Ability to conduct field service and tests in agricultural and horticultural situations.
- May be subject to strenuous driving & travel conditions for long periods of time and occasionally lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds in weight.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to computer monitors, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
- Maintain forty (40) hours per week performance level, plus additional hours, as job requires.
