Bruno Jactel, DVM

Dr. Jactel was appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in January, 2013. He spent 12 years at Merial Limited, the US$2.6 billion revenue generating Animal Health subsidiary of the Sanofi Group, most recently as combined Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. As Head of commercial operations in Europe, Dr. Jactel developed successful growth strategies in both OTC and professional channels. He was further responsible for global marketing, brand management, enterprise and franchise strategy, in addition to being a co-chair on the R&D steering committee. During this time, Merial built the most successful consumer brand in animal health history with FRONTLINE (Flea and tick product for pets) reaching $1billion in annual revenue in 2009.

Before working at Merial, Dr. Jactel was Deputy Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the French Embassy in Washington D.C. Prior to that, he was Assistant Professor at National Veterinary School of Alfort, Paris. He is also a recent founder and board member of Hypercell Technologies LLC, an early-stage biotech company developing therapeutic solutions to serious infectious animal diseases. Dr. Jactel is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and has a Masters in Economic Sciences from the Sorbonne University in Paris.

He is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and is a Board member of the Veterinary School in Paris.

Erica Boisvert

Ms. Boisvert was appointed Chief Financial Officer in January, 2016. She has overall responsibility for the company’s financial operations and investor relations. Ms. Boisvert brings over 20 years of financial management experience spanning various industries, including high tech, clean energy and public accounting.

Ms. Boisvert was most recently CFO of Southern Energy Management, a clean energy company and a certified B Corp. Prior to that, she spent eight years at SlickEdit Inc., a software company where she held the progressive roles of CFO, COO and President. During her tenure the company experienced year over year revenue growth and profitability.

Ms. Boisvert is a graduate of North Carolina State University, a Certified Public Accountant and a designated Chartered Global Management Accountant. She is a member of the North Carolina State University board of advisors for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Ms. Boisvert also volunteers for the Triangle Radio Reading Service as an on air reader, serving the blind and print impaired.

Ron Hatton

Mr. Hatton was appointed Director of Operations in March, 2014. He brings over 20 years of experience in the product commercialization cycle, including materials procurement, manufacturing, logistics and warehousing to his new role directing the Supply Chain and Manufacturing activities at TyraTech.

Mr. Hatton began his career as a design engineer with Chevron Chemical Company, transitioning to the Solaris Group of Monsanto Company as part of the Chevron sale of the Ortho business. In 1998, Mr. Hatton joined Bayer CropScience to launch the Bayer Advanced consumer business, where he led supply chain activities, production planning, warehousing, customer service and information systems interface. After facilitating a successful launch, he became Environmental Science Supply Chain Director at Bayer CropScience, overseeing both Consumer and Professional businesses.

Mr. Hatton holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from St. Mary’s college in Moraga, CA.

Jason Schmidt_cropped for web

Jason Schmidt

Mr. Schmidt joined the Company in July, 2007 and has been key in the product development advances made at TyraTech, Inc., leading to his appointment as Director of Research & Development in August, 2013. Mr. Schmidt has more than 10 years of professional experience in applied entomology and early to late stage product development. He was instrumental in developing TyraTech’s first EPA-exempt products.

Listed as an inventor on several patent applications for novel pediculicides, insecticides, and insect repellents, Mr. Schmidt’s work is also published on subjects ranging from insect taxonomy and biodiversity to control and prevention of insects, ticks, and diseases.

Mr. Schmidt holds a M.S. in Entomology Taxonomy/Systematics and a B.S. in Zoology from Colorado State University. He was an ORISE post-graduate fellow with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, performing research to identify natural product compositions for the control and repellency of vector arthropods and the prevention of Lyme disease. He is an active member of the Entomological Society of America and the National Pest Management Association.

Scot Huber

Dr. Huber joined Tyratech as Head of Research & Discovery in February 2016. He brings over 20 years of experience in animal health and crop protection, having worked in the discovery and development of insecticides and antiparasitic compounds for a wide range of applications.

Dr. Huber started his career in the Insecticide Discovery Chemistry group of Rhône-Poulenc, where he developed new insecticidal products and technologies for crop uses. He was named Project Leader of Rhône-Poulenc’s animal health research programs, then moved to Scynexis, Inc., where he was Executive Director of Animal Health. There he led a multidisciplinary research team to discover and advance new active ingredients for treatment of internal and external parasites of companion and production animals.

Dr. Huber holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Virginia.

Amanda Sicvol

Ms. Sicvol was appointed Director of Marketing & Sales in December, 2014. She brings over 8 years of experience in consumer packaged goods, including brand marketing and strategy, product innovation, and commercialization.

Amanda joined Burt’s Bees in 2007 shortly before they became part of the Clorox portfolio in late 2007, where she held increasing marketing responsibilities. As a global brand manager driving innovation, brand strategy, advertising and promotion for the Lip category, she was instrumental in Burt’s Bees’ expansion into Lip Color capitalizing on the success of the brand in natural lip care.

Amanda began her career as a business analyst and project manager in healthcare information technology and systems administration with Partners Healthcare and BlueCross BlueShield of MA in Boston, MA. With her passion for business process improvement, she was instrumental in launching Burt’s Bees e-commerce platform and implementing a warehouse management system for manufacturing and distribution.

Ms. Sicvol holds a JD and an MBA from the Case Western Reserve School of Law and Weatherhead School of Management in Cleveland, OH. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from Case Western Reserve University.

Jonathan Hill_cropped for web

Jonathan Hill

Mr. Hill joined TyraTech in July 2014 as UK Country Manager. He launched the UK business and is responsible for managing the TyraTech business in the UK and for business development across the EMEA Region.

Mr. Hill began his career with Rhône-Poulenc, the life science multi-national which, following the merger with Hoechst, became Aventis. In 2002 he moved to Merial, the animal health business of Sanofi, and worked in progressive marketing and business management roles in the USA, UK & France. He developed experience of UK retail channels as Head of the UK for the companion animal business where he led the firm’s consumer brand FRONTLINE OTC in 2006. Prior to joining TyraTech he was the Head of Marketing and Technical for the European Region with Merial.

Mr. Hill holds a Master’s degree in Biological Science from the University of Oxford and a further professional qualification in Marketing.
